Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus is seeking a compassionate Transportation Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. You will provide direct resident care and transport residents to appointments as scheduled, under supervision by licensed nursing personnel.

As a Transportation Aide, you will help with ADLs, maintain a clean, safe environment, and assist with meals and activities while protecting residents' rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nurse Aide in good standing with the state.
• Must maintain current certification throughout employment.
• Must complete 12 hours of in-service education annually.
• Respect patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Ability to relate professionally with residents, families and staff.
• Regular attendance and reliability required.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to appointments as scheduled.
• Provide direct resident care under licensed supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Prepare residents for meals and assist with eating as needed.
• Maintain neat, orderly resident rooms and equipment.
• Support participation in activity programs.
• Respond to residents' needs and concerns promptly.
• Uphold residents' rights at all times.
• Document data for MDS and care plans.
• Other duties as assigned by DON/ADON.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Transportation Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team! As a Transportation Aide, you will provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and transport residents to appointments as scheduled. You will also assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.

Responsibilities:

• Clear driving record
• Willingness to transport as needed
• Flexible hours
• Properly use and maintain facility equipment
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, and positioning in and out of bed, chair, etc.
• Prepare residents for meals and snacks
• Assist residents in eating where needed and record food intake
• Maintain residents' rooms in neat, orderly and clutter-free manner
• Ensure residents are given correct diet
• Support residents' participation in activity programs
• Directly respond to needs and concerns of residents and family members
• Ensure residents' rights are being honored at all times
• Provide resident care as directed by care plan
• Ensure residents' comfort while assisting them in achieving their highest practicable level of functioning
• Participate in collecting data needed for the accurate completion of the MDS and the plan of care
• Other responsibilities, within scope, as set forth by DON/ADON

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Nurse Aide in good standing with the state
• Must maintain a current certification in the state throughout employment
• Must achieve 12 hours of in-service education annually as required by federal regulations (as well as meet state requirements, if exceeds federal)
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information
• Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with residents, families and other employees at all levels
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
