Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering (ICE) is seeking Engineering Technicians/Construction Inspectors for multiple opportunities across North Carolina (Hickory, Gastonia, Statesville, Shelby, Lincolnton, and surrounding areas). Ideal candidates hold NCDOT certifications and CEI experience to support highway and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include daily construction observation, material review, and reporting; knowledge of standards and safety is essential; OSHA 10 within 2 weeks

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent required; degree in Civil Engineering or Technology is a plus.
Experience with roadway/bridge inspection and NCDOT projects required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new software.
OSHA 10 certification within two weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

Observe construction activities daily and document on required reports.
Review materials for contract and specification compliance.
Inspect roadways/structures for conformance to plans.
Evaluate materials and placement of culverts, pilings, and steel.
Record daily work reports with quantities and descriptions.
Identify non-compliance and safety violations to supervisor.
