Job summary

Larson Design Group is seeking a Transportation CAD Manager to advance digital delivery for our transportation sector. The role leads CAD/BIM standards, Bentley platforms, and project delivery while collaborating across offices and with partners.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in transportation design tech and 7+ years managing CAD/BIM on transportation projects, with PennDOT experience a strong plus. LDG offers a flexible environment and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• Education: AS or BS in a technical field (architecture, engineering, construction, transportation, CAD).
• 10+ years of transportation design technology experience.
• 7+ years implementing or managing CAD/BIM on transportation projects.
• Advanced experience with Bentley OpenRoads/OpenBridge, ProjectWise.
• Experience with PennDOT or similar agencies.
• Strong understanding of highway/bridge/delivery workflows.
• Ability to lead standards implementation and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital delivery support for highway, bridge, and related projects from initiation to final submission.
• Establish and maintain CAD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Support kickoff planning, project execution, file management, and production resources.
• Administer Bentley ProjectWise environments and standards compliance.
• Provide technical leadership for Bentley applications in transportation design.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners to resolve technical issues.
• Audit projects for LDG standards and client requirements.
• Develop tools, checklists, and workflows to improve quality and efficiency.
• Plan and lead technology and workflow improvement initiatives.
• Deliver CAD/BIM training and onboarding materials for the team.
• Mentor CAD coordinators in workflows and standards.
• Resolve IT and license-related project technology issues.
