Job summary

Larson Design Group is seeking a Transportation CAD Manager to advance digital delivery for our transportation sector. You will lead CAD/BIM standards, set up project workflows, and provide production support across offices.

The role requires deep Bentley OpenRoads/OpenBridge expertise, ProjectWise administration, and the ability to mentor staff while balancing project needs, client requirements, and team adoption in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
• 10+ years of transportation design technology experience.
• 7+ years of CAD/BIM applications experience on transportation projects.
• Advanced experience with Bentley OpenRoads and ProjectWise.
• Experience with PennDOT or similar state/local agencies.
• Strong understanding of highway, bridge, drainage, and digital submission workflows.
• Ability to lead standards implementation and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation digital delivery from initiation to final deliverable submission.
• Establish and enforce CAD/BIM standards, templates, workflows, and best practices.
• Support kickoff planning, project execution plans, and file/model management procedures.
• Administer Bentley ProjectWise environments and ensure standards compliance.
• Provide technical leadership for Bentley OpenRoads, OpenBridge, and related tools.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners to resolve technical and delivery issues.
• Audit projects for compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Develop tools and workflows to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Lead technology and workflow improvement initiatives with defined milestones and budget.
