Disclaimer-this position will be considered classified-exempt and “at will.” The Transportation Business Operations Assistant Senior will report to the Planning Division in Kanawha County. This position performs administrative and supervisory work in providing support services such as fiscal, personnel, payroll, or procurement. Develops policies and procedures for resolving operational problems and for improving administrative services. Supervises the work of office support staff in rendering required services. Work is typically varied and includes extensive internal agency, state/local government, and public contact. Has some authority to vary work methods and policy applications and to commit the agency to alternative courses of action. Performs related work as required.

TRAINING/EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in providing advanced clerical duties and/or administrative services in accounting, budgeting, project monitoring and reporting, personnel, or procurement and property.
- Substitution: Successful completion of coursework from a regionally accredited college or university, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted for the required experience through an established formula.
