State of West Virginia’s Department of Motor Vehicles seeks a Transportation Accountant/Auditor to perform professional accounting duties in the Budget and Revenue section. You will handle journal entries, monitor budgets, and prepare financial statements with attention to compliance and accuracy.

Has the ability to make day-to-day decisions in the position, but work is reviewed and approved by a manager. Performs other related duties as required.

Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications**
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and at least 24 semester hours in accounting.
One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in accounting work.
Substitution: Master’s degree in accounting may substitute for the required experience.
OR
Substitution: Certification or registration as a public accountant in West Virginia may be substituted for the required training/education and experience.
