The State of West Virginia Division of Highways in Lewisburg is seeking a Building and Grounds Worker Senior to join District 9. You will lead a crew, fix furnaces, build walls, and clear snow. The job requires using many trades and deciding how to get the job done, keeping roads facilities safe and functional.

No formal education is required, but six years of related experience and a valid driver’s license are needed. Travel may be required.

• Six (6) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in building maintenance, building construction, in the installation and maintenance of building electrical or heating systems, or highway related experience.
• Substitution: vocational school training may substitute for the required experience through an established formula.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a crew of workers across diverse trades to complete maintenance tasks.
• Fix furnaces, build walls, and snow removal as needed on WV highways facilities.
• Ensure buildings used by the division are safe, functional, and well maintained.

EXPERIENCE

Six (6) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in building maintenance, building construction, in the installation and maintenance of building electrical or heating systems, or highway related experience.
