West Virginia seeks an experienced professional to oversee critical infrastructure projects spanning engineering, construction, and maintenance from bids to inspections, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance. You will lead resurfacing field staff, ensure accurate reporting, document equipment, and manage paving contracts district-wide.

Ideal candidates will have rapid problem-solving, strong communication for reporting and teamwork, and solid listening and written communication skills.

Are you ready to lead critical infrastructure projects? We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee advanced engineering, construction, and maintenance operations from initial bids to final inspections, ensuring top-tier safety, quality, and compliance.

In this role, you will:

• Manage resurfacing department's field staff.
• Ensure reports are written properly.
• Complete proper equipment documentation.
• Manage district-wide striping and guardrail contracts.
• Review plans for upcoming resurfacing project.
• Administer purchase order paving contracts.
• Ensure contractors follow the standard specifications when constructing projects.
• Work with counties to ensure preliminary work is completed before purchase order paving contracts begin.

Successful candidate will have rapid problem-solving abilities to correct plan mistakes, excellent communication for reporting and team collaboration, good listening skills, and good verbal and written communication.

**Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications**

TRAINING/EDUCATION

• Certification as a Transportation Engineering Technician Senior by the West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board.
• Pre-Certification as a Transportation Engineering Technician Senior by the West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board.
