Job summary

The position supports budgeting, forecasting, and planning for budget areas with minimal travel. Core qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 2+ years in finance, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in finance/accounting or comparable industry experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to challenge/influence business partners with expense leverage concepts.
• Ability to coordinate tasks and make decisions independently.
• Personal computer skills (Office Suite) and ability to effectively use BNSF data systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes, models, and reports to monitor and forecast expenses for assigned divisions.
• Leading/facilitating weekly and monthly budget reviews and forecasts with assigned transportation divisions.
• Assisting in the development of performance measures, strategic initiatives and annual plans.
• Analyzing complex data to understand operational trends and the financial impact and provide recommendations.
