Job summary

Allen Lund Company is seeking a Transportation Broker to manage inbound and outbound logistics, perform daily check calls, and handle freight documentation. You will build customer relationships, acquire new clients, and negotiate rates with carriers to support project needs.

You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on service excellence, integrity, and growth opportunities within a well-established organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Freight Brokerage / customer service.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic.
• Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills, and ability to handle conflict.
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact new customers and be responsible for customer acquisitions.
• Develop and increase profitable volume with existing and newly acquired shippers, and build relationships with developing accounts.
• Use strong relationships to understand customer’s business, qualify them to identify and solve problems.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Contact and build relationships with carriers to increase capacity for specific projects and lanes.
• Gain up-to-date knowledge of market freight rates to determine fair prices for trucks and charges for shippers.
• Offer rate negotiations and provide solutions for customers to Senior Brokers or management.
• Perform daily check calls on loads in transit and originate necessary freight documents.
• Handle Freight Brokerage and booking loads.
• Uphold company standards of Customer, Company, Office.
