US Foods is seeking a Coordinator, Transportation to support transportation and logistics through clerical tasks and backhaul coordination. You will communicate route updates to drivers and resolve issues with drivers, customers, and sales reps.

The role uses software like Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem and Kronos to manage reports, logs, and dispatch information, while also assisting in damages and backhaul processes and vendor communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of experience in warehouse administrative or clerical position.
• Experience with transportation and logistics software is preferred.
• Strong math, analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written, and excellent telephone skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support transportation and logistics functions with clerical tasks and backhauls.
• Answer calls and resolve driver, sales representative and customer issues; communicate route updates.
• Create and update reports using software such as Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos.
• Assist in damages and shorts process by notifying vendors and drivers; complete related paperwork.
• Coordinate backhaul scheduling, dispatch information, and service updates.
• Assist in scheduling pick ups for backhaul orders and vendors; maintain related paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
