The Kroger Co. is seeking a Transportation Department Supervisor in Compton, CA to oversee daily operations and ensure on-time delivery to stores. You will promote safety, supervise drivers, and collaborate with stores to boost overall performance.

Candidates should have supervisory experience in distribution/logistics and knowledge of DOT regulations. This role requires flexibility across shifts and locations, with a strong emphasis on integrity and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Possess good public relation skills.
• Detail oriented / well organized.
• Knowledge of word processing software.
• Knowledge of DMV rules and regulations a plus.
• Willing to work at other site locations where applicable.
• Ability to work varied shifts / hours / days.
• Supervisory/managerial experience in a distribution/logistics environment.
• Experience in Shipping, Receiving and Inventory with transportation expertise.
• Experience in a food distribution environment preferred.
• Knowledge/understanding of DOT regulations and requirements.

• Manage conflicts in a professional, non-confrontational manner and protect confidential information.
• Provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Transportation Department. Demonstrate the company’s leadership model behaviors and the core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the department to insure on time delivery to the stores
• Responsible to promote and insure all members practice safety in the workplace and on the road
