Carboline is a St.Louis-based coatings manufacturer seeking a Transportation Associate to coordinate daily transportation activities, track shipments, and collaborate with carriers to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation activities in compliance with DOT, IATA, and company regulations.
• Track, trace, and expedite shipments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with carriers and shipping locations to meet delivery requirements and approved expedite requests.
• Provide freight quotes, compare rates, and recommend cost-effective routing solutions.
• Schedule truckload shipments and coordinate delivery timing and pricing across multiple locations.
• Source, qualify, and maintain relationships with transportation carriers.
• Analyze transportation data and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist with Bills of Lading, freight documentation, and customer returns.
• Review freight costs and investigate invoice discrepancies or unusual charges.
• Support carrier selection, routing decisions, and transportation strategy initiatives.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, Manufacturing, Distribution, and other internal teams to support business objectives.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

This position requires extended computer use, up to 8 hours per day.No unusual environmental conditions, lifting requirements, or physical exertion are typically associated with this role.
