Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Georgia seeks Transportation Area Managers to oversee a team of associates, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity while improving processes. You’ll lead shifts, manage performance, and collaborate with site leadership on metrics to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires 2+ years of supervision and a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with flexibility for weekends/nights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma).
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics, including root cause analysis of problem areas.
• Streamline logistics in the operation through the implementation of standard work and team leadership.
• Support and commit to all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
• You and your team are responsible for Amazon customers receiving their orders; train, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce; manage safety, quality, productivity, and delivery promises.
