Job summary

WSP USA invites qualified students to join its Summer Internship Program in the Mid-Atlantic Transportation Architecture Group, based in Washington, DC (Baltimore, MD also considered). This 12-week, full-time internship begins May 17, 2027, with flexible start dates.

Open to undergrad/grad students enrolled in an NCARB-accredited architecture program; compensation ranges with no relocation assistance. You will collaborate with senior staff on transportation projects, assist with research, design

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an NCARB accredited 5-year Architecture undergrad program with gradu date Jun 2027 or later.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.
• Interest in Transportation Architecture and a strong desire to develop relevant skills.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to explain ideas to diverse audiences.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing and office software.

Responsibilities

• Support Architectural tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Transportation Architecture.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP Code of Conduct and policies; manage resources responsibly.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
