Job summary

WSP USA in Washington, DC welcomes you to a full-time Architectural Intern position within the Mid-Atlantic Transportation Architecture Group. This internship supports a 12-week Summer Internship Program starting May 17, 2027, with locations including Baltimore, MD also considered.

You must be enrolled in an NCARB accredited architectural degree program. As an intern, you will work with senior staff, gain hands-on experience on real projects, and develop technical, social, and ethical skills

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in NCARB accredited 5-Year Architectural Undergraduate degree program with anticipated graduation date of June 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Transportation Architecture and desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional audience.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of architectural tasks with the goal of developing technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Transportation Architecture.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
• Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
