Job summary

WSP USA invites interns to join the Washington, DC transportation team for a 12-week Summer Internship Program starting May 17, 2027. This temp, full-time internship is geared toward currently enrolled third-year undergraduates but open to master's and PhD students.

As a summer intern, you will support engineering tasks across transit and rail projects, learn program management concepts, assist with cost estimates and documentation, and work with senior staff in a real project environment in the

Qualifications

Actively enrolled in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related programs.
Interest in civil or transportation infrastructure with a goal to develop relevant skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities; able to work with technical and non-technical audiences.
Willing to work in person in the DC Capital Region and comply with safety policies.

Responsibilities

Support a variety of engineering tasks and decision making.
Learn transit program management concepts including workflow and project management.
Assist in preparing analyses and cost estimates for projects.
Help collect and maintain project documentation.
Adhere to NDA requirements and WSP Code of Conduct.
