Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Transportation Operations Analyst to analyze transportation data, identify expense-saving opportunities, and support inbound freight operations, including payment and audit functions.

You will collaborate with leaders in Category Management, Inventory, Logistics and Distribution Centers, manage carrier relationships, develop KPIs, and drive continuous improvement while using transportation management systems to enhance visibility.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience within the transportation industry OR a degree in a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite including proven ability to develop, maintain and run Access databases.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes complex transportation data, routes, and delivery patterns to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improving operational efficiency.
• Examines and optimizes carrier selection, route planning, and load consolidation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation operations.
• Collects and analyzes transportation-related data, including shipment volumes, transportation costs, transit times, carrier performance, and other relevant metrics.
• Performs freight payment and audit functions ensuring contract compliance and freight rate matching
• Evaluates and manages relationships with transportation carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to monitor carrier performance and facilitate the resolution of service issues.
• Develops and monitors key performance indicators and transportation metrics, regularly providing management with transportation performance updates.
• Identifies opportunities to implement continuous improvement strategies that aim to streamline transportation operations while reducing costs.
• Utilizes transportation management systems and data analytics to enhance supply chain visibility and track shipment progress in real-time.
• Collaborates with procurement, inventory management, and demand planning teams to align transportation activities with overall supply chain goals.
• Leads transportation-related projects, such as the implementation of new transportation technologies or process improvements.
