• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint; ability to extract, organize, manipulate, and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities including shipment scheduling, routing, booking, tracking, expediting, and delivery follow-up.
• Partner with Supply Planning, Sourcing, Service, Manufacturing, Sales, and Distribution to support requirements.
• Monitor shipment activity and resolve issues with carriers and stakeholders.
• Provide freight quotes and secure carrier capacity for expedited and special shipments.
• Develop routing guides and transportation compliance standards balancing service, quality, and cost.
• Track carrier performance and escalate recurring issues for corrective action.
• Manage freight claims submission, documentation, and recovery tracking.
• Support data-driven cost mitigation and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Job Description:The Transportation Analyst I provides day-to-day operational and analytical support for Milwaukee Tool’s transportation network. Serving as a first point of contact for transportation-related needs. This role coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, supports carrier performance and compliance, resolves service issues, manages freight claims, carrier invoice payment exceptions, and identifies opportunities to improve quality, service, and costs. The analyst partners across the organization to deliver reliable transportation solutions and uses data to support fact-based decisions and continuous improvement.
