Job summary

Aviata Health Group in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Transportation CNA to support residents in a skilled nursing setting. The Transportation Aide provides direct care and helps transport residents to appointments, supports daily living activities, and ensures safety and dignity during mobility.

Responsibilities include escorting residents to dining, assisting with dressing and hygiene, reporting changes, light housekeeping, meal prep, and providing companionship while upholding HIPAA and care

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Completion of state-approved CNA certification course.
• Ability to read and communicate at an adequate level for job duties.
• Ability to care for seniors with dignity and respect.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly manner.
• Complete new hire orientation.

• Care for personal needs, safety, and comfort.
• Assist with daily living activities including dressing, hygiene, and mobility.
• Aid in tasks such as using the telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery.

• Conduct rounds to monitor hazards or incidents.
• Assist in dining, escorting to dining room, serving and cleanup.
• Provide companionship and conversation.

The Transportation Aide/ Certified Nursing Assistant delivers direct care to residents and patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and life care standards in the health and rehabilitation center (skilled nursing home). Transportation CNA will assist our residents with transporting to doctors’ appointments, activities of daily living, personal hygiene and mobility, by prioritizing their wellbeing and ensuring they maintain their dignity and independence.
