Primary responsibilities are typically;
Organizing and maintaining the filing systems for medical services and medical records, support staff for answering telephone, scheduling appointments, providing the public general information, and taking/delivering messages. Other significant responsibilities may include preparing correspondence, checking and sorting the mail, imputing information into databases
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a valid Texas Driver's License, appropriate driving record and auto liability insurance that meets the minimum required by State of Texas statute.
- Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
- Requires one (1) year experience in the public transportation field or one (1) year experience as a direct care provider in human services field.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Transport clients to and from services of the agency in the agency vans in a safe and timely manner
- Adhere to priority schedule for transportation, when appropriate
- Transport Mobile Unit to different sites when needed
- Keep transportation up to date, and document services in client file
- Responsible for all scheduled maintenance, needed repairs, fueling, and documentation of all of these
- Helping to monitor vehicle license (registration) and inspection
- Keep a vehicle mileage log form
- Report any safety concern or otherwise, to Regional Coordinator
- Work in close contact with team to ensure proper -transportation to and from services
- Assist in the office when not transporting, to help with phones, client needs, etc.
- Establish and maintain a filing system for documentation of clients receiving medical and case management services.
- Records client sensitive information by approved methods.
- Maintains client confidentiality at all times.
- Maintains effective filing system and files necessary information in a timely manner.
- Identifies areas for improvement and implements them
- Communicates details regarding all systems and changes with staff members
- Prepares confidential and non-confidential correspondence in a professional style and format.
- Inputs data into databases correctly and in a timely manner.
- Makes appointments as needed and assists staff with scheduling/coordination.
- Relieves other clerical staff as needed.
- Relays information to the public as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, both programmatic and agency wide
- Attend appropriate training for position, and continuing education provided by the agency
- Serve as customer service representative with clients and others while away from the office providing transportation
- Other duties as assigned
