Job summary

Majestic Care of Goshen is seeking a Transportation Aide to safely transport residents to and from the facility for approved activities. You will operate the vehicle, assist residents during boarding, and ensure timely and secure arrivals at destinations while maintaining logs and reporting issues to leadership.

The role requires a clean driving record, 21+ age, CPR certification, and CNA certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Excellent driving record.
• CPR certified, active and in good standing; CNA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the facility's vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents.
• Assists the residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle.
• Ensures the residents' safe arrival to the pre-determined destination and the facility.
• Maintains route and mileage logs.
• Monitors routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels.
• Reports any vehicle problems, or maintenance needs to the Executive Director immediately.
• Ensures that all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, prior to moving the van.
• Interacts in a positive manner with the residents and visitors as a representative of the facility.

Position Overview:

The Transportation Aide is responsible for the safe transportation of residents to and from the facility during approved activities to pre-determined destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the facility's vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents.
