Job summary

Majestic Care of Goshen is seeking a Transportation Aide to help move residents safely to activities and appointments with approved routes. The role emphasizes compassionate care and adherence to safety standards within our care team.

You will operate the vehicle safely, assist residents boarding and exiting, and keep accurate route logs. The position supports our LEAD values and offers a range of benefits to team members in Goshen.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Excellent driving record.
• CPR certification must be active, valid and in good standing.
• CNA certificate current and in good standing; CNA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the facility’s vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents.
• Assist residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle.
• Ensure residents’ safe arrival to pre-determined destinations and the facility.
• Maintain route and mileage logs.
• Monitor routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluids.
• Report vehicle problems or maintenance needs to the Executive Director immediately.
• Ensure passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, before moving the van.
• Interact in a positive manner with residents and visitors as a facility representative.

Position Overview:

The Transportation Aide is responsible for the safe transportation of

residents to and from the facility during approved activities to pre-determined destinations

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the facility’s vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents.
• Assists the residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle.
• Ensures the residents’ safe arrival to the pre-determined destination and the facility.
• Maintains route and mileage logs.
• Monitors routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels.
• Reports any vehicle problems, or maintenance needs to the Executive Director immediately.
• Ensures that all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, prior to moving the van.
• Interacts in a positive manner with the residents and visitors as a representative of the facility.
