Job summary

Majestic Care in Goshen, Indiana is seeking a Transportation Aide to safely transport residents to activities and appointments from the facility. You will assist residents during boarding, manage route logs, and monitor vehicle safety while representing the facility in a positive manner.

The role requires at least 21 years old, a clean driving record, and CPR certification; CNA is preferred but not required. Join a team that values compassionate care and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Excellent driving record.
• CPR certified, active and in good standing.
• CNA certificate current and in good standing; CNA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the facility’s vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents.
• Assists the residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle.
• Ensures the residents’ safe arrival to the pre-determined destination and the facility.
• Maintains route and mileage logs.
• Monitors routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels.
• Reports any vehicle problems, or maintenance needs to the Executive Director immediately.
• Ensures that all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, prior to moving the van.
• Interacts in a positive manner with the residents and visitors as a representative of the facility.

Position Overview:

The Transportation Aide is responsible for the safe transportation of

residents to and from the facility during approved activities to pre-determined destinations

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the facility’s vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents.
• Assists the residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle.
