Job summary

St. Joseph's Health is seeking a part-time Patient Transport team member to support the hospital's patient flow. You will transport patients between testing and treatment areas, assist with STAT requests, and discharge patients to their designated areas, using the Transport Tracking System for accurate delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and the ability to follow written instructions. CPR certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Job description

Performs delegated functions as a member of the Patient Transport Department to provide the following services: transport patients to and from testing or treatment areas, STAT requests for specimens and patients, discharge patients to designated areas, transport of outpatients to inpatient and testing areas, and other delivery services utilizing the Transport Tracking System.

Qualifications

High School diploma preferred. No previous work experience required. Work requires the ability to read and understand written instruction. CPR certificate must be obtained within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
