Job summary

DeVivo Companies is seeking a full-time Transport Refrigeration Technician in Windsor Locks, CT. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of transport refrigeration units and auxiliary power units, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Applicants should have refrigeration/HVAC experience, tools, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn EPA 608/609 certifications. Training and promotion from within are highlighted in the offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in refrigeration/HVAC equipment installation and/or repair.
• Demonstrate ability to install, diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components and methods.
• Own and maintain proper hand tools for job functions.
• Proficient with computer operation/usage.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• EPA 608/609 refrigeration certifications are a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and service inspections on TRU and APU units.
• Diagnose and repair mobile refrigeration equipment and heaters.
• Follow established technical and administrative processes.
• Complete repair orders and parts usage forms.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team, and customers.
• Remain current on technical and regulatory requirements.
• Perform road service calls as required.
