Job summary

DeVivo Companies in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a full-time Transport Refrigeration Technician to service and repair transport refrigeration units (TRU) and auxiliary power units (APU). The role requires hands-on installation, maintenance, and field service capabilities in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has refrigeration/HVAC experience, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to earn EPA 608/609 certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in refrigeration/HVAC equipment installation and/or repair.
• Skills to install, diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, materials, methods & equipment.
• Own & maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Proficient with computer operation/usage.
• EPA 608/609 refrigeration certifications is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance & service inspections on a variety of transport refrigeration units (TRU) & auxiliary power units (APU).
• Perform diagnostic, repair work on mobile refrigeration equipment, auxiliary power units & heater equipment.
• Follow established technical & administrative processes.
• Complete repair orders & parts usage forms.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members & customers.
• Remain current on technical & regulation requirements.
• Perform road service calls as required.
