Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking an OTR Driver to join our team in North Myrtle Beach, SC. You will operate an 80,000 lb tractor-trailer to production and distribution facilities, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operation.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a DOT Class A license, and the ability to pass PBV driving tests. You will work shifts longer than eight hours and maintain daily driver logs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• DOT CDL Class A License required or must be able to obtain DOT Class A license.
• Experience positioning trailer at docks for loading and unloading.
• Able to pass a PBV driving skills test.
• Ability to work shift in excess of 8 hours
• Ability to successfully pass DOT physical under FMCSA guidelines.
• Must obtain CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from date of hire if CDL is not held.
• Average oral and written communication skills.

OTR Driver Role Overview

To safely and efficiently drive a tractor-trail between production and distribution facilities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operates an 80,000 pound tractor and semi-trailer carrying product to pre-determined destinations.
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle will operate safely.
• Positions trailers at docks for loading and unloading product.
• Keeps and maintains a driver's log book each day.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• DOT CDL class A License required or must be able to obtain DOT Class A license.
• Experience positioning trailer at docks for loading and unloading.
• Able to pass a PBV driving skills test.
• Ability to work shift in excess of 8 hours
• Ability to successfully pass DOT physical under guidelines set forth in Federal Motor Carriers Handbook.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment. (Must be able to obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from their date of hire in which to obtain the license, if CDL is not currently held.)
• Average oral and written communication skills.
