Job summary

This Per Diem position offers varied shifts including weekends and holidays, with focus on compassionate care, safety, and efficiency in patient movement across departments.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent, with some college including Office Technology.
• Healthcare background preferred or transport orderly experience.
• Good oral and written communication and guest relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients within the hospital using wheelchairs, gurneys, and other equipment.
• Transport patients with IVs, O2, chest tubes, etc., using basic body mechanics.
• Maintain patient safety and asepsis during transfers.
• Position and deliver patients to departments as directed; schedule may include weekends and holidays.

Position Summary:

The transport orderly will provide transport and delivery services within the hospital departments using wheelchairs, gurneys, and other appropriate equipment. Transports patients with IVACS, O₂, chest tubes, etc. Utilizes basic knowledge of body mechanics, transfer techniques, asepsis, and CPR.

Per Diem Position, Varied Shifts including Weekends and Holidays.

Qualifications:

Prefer High School graduate or equivalent, with some college level education including Office Technology course. Prefer Patient Care or Healthcare Background or previous transport orderly experience, with Clerical, Computer / Software knowledge. Must possess proven positive oral and written communication skills as well as positive guest relations skills.

Require Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate.
