Job summary

Madera Community Hospital is seeking a Temporary Facility Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, repair and document hospital buildings and related systems. The role supports a safe and comfortable healthcare environment and the smooth flow of hospital operations, including varied shifts and weekends.

Qualified candidates will have technical or trade education in building trades, at least 2 years in facility/medical building maintenance, and a forklift certificate.

• Requires forklift certificate.

Position Summary:

Inspects, maintains, repairs and documents the operation and status of the Hospital buildings and related systems and equipment. Provides other functions and services as necessary and appropriate to ensure a comfortable, safe healthcare environment, as well as an orderly flow of the support activities for continued Hospital operations.

Temporary Position-Varied Shifts including Weekends.

Qualifications:

• Prefer technical or trade education/training in a building trade.
• Prefer 2 years experience in facility general maintenance or medical building maintenance or equivalent.
• Prefer Crises Intervention training.
• Requires forklift certificate.
• Prefer knowledge of formal maintenance procedures.
• Must have knowledge of the operation of power plants, electrical distribution, and steam generation, HVAC and sanitation systems.
• Knowledge and proficiency in the use of hand tools and portable and stationary power tools.
