Transport Driver (Tractor Trailer)- CDL A

Position Overview

This role involves driving a tractor/trailer truck to make local and regional deliveries (up to a 275-mile radius) of finished products or raw materials to company distribution and manufacturing centers. The driver must obtain proper authorization for all deliveries and pickups, conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips, and maintain a DOT driver's log in compliance with all DOT regulations.

Physical and Work Conditions

This position requires handling tractor/trailer components, including bending, cranking landing gear, climbing in and out of cabs, and sitting for extended periods. It involves no-touch freight work and drivers are home daily.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Deliver products or raw materials to designated locations.
2. Ensure safety and compliance of the load.
3. Maintain DOT driver logs and other required documentation.
4. Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
5. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Pass a DOT physical and DOT Road Test.
• Possess a valid U.S. CDL License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status.
• Follow DOT regulations.

Helpful Experience

• Operating trucks requiring a valid U.S. CDL Class A license, including maneuvering in tight spaces and backing into docks.
• Hauling consumer products and perishable goods, managing unstable loads and varying weights.
• Driving in different conditions such as highway, city, or country roads, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
