Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in Pinehurst, NC is seeking a transportation services driver to join our care team. You will assist residents boarding and alighting vehicles, ensure timely transport to appointments and activities, and maintain safety and compassionate service.

The ideal candidate has a current driver's license, a preference for CNA certification, and prior customer service or healthcare transportation experience.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a current valid driver’s license with no serious infractions.
• CNA certification, and experience in customer service, transportation and healthcare are preferred.
• Training will be offered on-site regardless of level of experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by assisting patients in and out of vans/vehicles; lifting patients on and off beds; moving them to and from special service and treatment areas, using wheelchairs or moveable beds.
• Communicate with outside entities with excellent customer service.
• Comfort patients and their families by offering support and encouragement; being punctual and attentive to procedure schedules; demonstrating caring and cultural sensitivity.
• Transport equipment and supplies by picking up requisitioned orders; delivering them to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with federal and state legal regulations.
• Enhance health care organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Manage confidential patient information.
• Ensuring all residents have a safe transportation experience.
• Engage in training upon hire and ongoing to ensure up-to-date knowledge of current safety practices.
