Job summary

Pediatric Health Choice, a PHS company, seeks a Transport Driver in New Orleans, LA. You will safely transport medically fragile children, assist with loading, follow schedules, and complete documentation in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications include a Louisiana driver’s/chauffeur license, CPR certification, and 1 year of commercial driving or child-care experience. This part-time role offers flexible hours and opportunities to grow within our expanding pediatric network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license and Chauffeurs License.
• One year of commercial driving or chauffeuring experience preferred.
• Experience caring for children with medical needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children enrolled in the PDHC transportation program.
• Assist with loading and unloading children from transport vehicles alongside a medical escort.
• Follow transportation schedules and complete all required documentation.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure no belongings or children are left behind.
• Collaborate with the transport coordinator to troubleshoot transportation issues.
• Communicate with caregivers and families regarding transportation details.
• Respond to emergency situations during transport when requested.
• Maintain a positive harmonious environment for the children and staff.
