Job summary

Pediatric Health Choice, a PHS company, is seeking a Transport Driver in New Orleans, LA to safely transport children enrolled in the PDHC transportation program. You will assist with loading and unloading under medical escort, follow schedules, and complete required documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.
• At least one year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience caring for children, especially with medical needs, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children enrolled in the PDHC transportation program.
• Assist with loading and unloading children alongside a medical escort.
• Follow transportation schedules and complete required documentation.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure no belongings or children are left behind.
• Collaborate with the transport coordinator to troubleshoot transportation issues.
• Communicate with caregivers and families regarding transportation details.
• Respond to emergency situations during transport when requested.
• Maintain a positive, harmonious environment for the children and staff.

The Position:

• Safely transport children enrolled in the PDHC transportation program.

• CPR certification.

• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 years preferred).
