Job summary

M&R Trucking in Artesia, NM is seeking a Transport Driver to perform routine and complex transportation work and coordinate transportation plans, including pre-trip prep and load security.

The role requires a valid CDL with tanker endorsement, a clean driving record, ability to lift 80 lbs, willingness to work outdoors in all weather, and on-call availability. Training on safety policies will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Valid CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Clean driving record in last 3 years.
• Regularly able to lift 80 lbs.
• Able to read, write and speak English effectively.
• Willing to learn and follow safety policies.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.
• On-call 24 hours on scheduled days.

• Complete logs and safety reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of business information.
• Report incidents or unsafe actions to supervisors.
• Notify supervisor of uncompleted jobs.

The Transport Driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans.

• Participate in pre-trip preparations of vehicle
• Ensure proper equipment is loaded on vehicle prior to leaving the yard
• Fill out Log Book
• Coordinate with dispatch office for job assignments, maps, special instructions, etc...
• Drive water truck
• Conduct JSA before entering job site and plan entry route
• Operate pump
• Prepare post trip for any damaged equipment
• Load hoses on and off of truck
• Complete logs, Job Safety Analysis, vehicle inspection reports, way bills, BBS cards, fuel reports
• Employees in this position are considered confidential, maintaining the utmost confidentiality in dealing with business information
• Report all incidents or unsafe actions and/or worksites to supervisors
• Must complete jobs in order and notify supervisor or dispatcher of any uncompleted jobs

• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
• Must be able to be on 24 hour call on scheduled days

Requirements

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Must possess a valid driver's license and CDL with a tanker endorsement

Employees do not have to have prior training but will be asked to complete some of the required training prior to being on the job site. The training required can vary depending on the specific job. Types of training include( but are not limited to):

• Fall Protection Training
• CPR/First Aid/BBP (Must be completed within 90 days of Hire)
• OSHA Compliance Training (must be completed within 90 days of Hire)
• Must complete any other required training within 90 days of Hire
