Qualifications

• Employee must regularly carry 70 lbs.
• Must follow directions and safety policies.
• Must be willing to learn and abide by applicable safety laws/rules.
• Must have the ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
• Must read, write and speak English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-trip preparations of the vehicle.
• Ensure proper equipment is loaded on the vehicle prior to leaving the yard.

Description

The Heavy Haul Driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans.

• Participate in pre-trip preparations of vehicle


• Ensure proper equipment is loaded on vehicle prior to leaving the yard


• Fill out Log Book


• Coordinate with dispatch office for job assignments, maps, special instructions, etc...


• Conduct JSA before entering job site and plan entry route


• Prepare invoice tickets for any damaged equipment


• Complete Job Safety Analysis reports, logs, way bills, vehicle inspection, fuel reports, expense reports


• Employees in this position are considered confidential, maintaining the utmost confidentiality in dealing with business information


• Dispatch, oversee and direct swamper


• General training for swampers

• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather


• Must be able to be on 24 hour call on scheduled days

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus


• Must possess a valid driver's license and CDL Class A (Hazmat Endorsement is preferred)


• Must be able to drive and operate a water truck
