What You Should Know About The Transport Coordinator Position

  • This is a PRN 36-hour position - 8A-8:30P,s, 1 weekend shift a month. Holiday requirement is Thanksgiving or Christmas, on a rotational basis.
  • Previous experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred.
  • We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Key Responsibilities Of The Transport Coordinator

  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills to answer and address all phone calls.
  • Schedules transportation staff appropriately, accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quality patient care, avoiding unscheduled visits.
  • Adjusts transport staff assignments as needed as changes occur with staffing and changes in the level of patient care.
  • Assists in other activities and departments when requested.
  • Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities to support the quality of Ohio’s Hospice services.
  • Precepts new staff to support professional relationships with newly hired team members as required.

DME Coordinator Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Computer skills sufficient to properly schedule and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
  • Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
  • State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
