Job summary

AristaCare is seeking a Transport Aide to support resident care by safely transporting residents throughout the facility for therapy sessions, medical appointments, and activities. The role ensures residents arrive on time, comfortable, and with dignity, while assisting nursing and rehabilitation staff.

The position is Part-time, Per Diem. Responsibilities include assisting with mobility devices, maintaining safety during transport, and communication with care teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, SNF, or rehabilitation setting is a plus
• Must be HHA licensed

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from therapy, dining, activities, and appointments
• Assist residents with wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices
• Ensure residents are properly positioned and secured during transport
• Communicate resident needs or concerns to nursing or therapy staff
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of transport equipment
• Respond promptly to transport requests
• Provide courteous and respectful interactions with residents and families
