Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Transport Aide for St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA. The role supports safe movement of patients and equipment, contributing to efficient patient throughput in the evening shift.

Regular status employees scheduled to work 24 hours minimum; benefits include a comprehensive package and 403B with company match. CPR is required during orientation, vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 or exemption is accepted.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• 1–3 months of related healthcare transport experience.
• CPR certification to be completed during Orientation period.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or an approved exemption by signing a statement.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently per supervisor direction.

We are searching for a talented Transport Aide

Hours: 24 flex 32hrs

Shift: Evening shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation; 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Manager, Patient Transport or Designee, perform various transportation and related duties pertaining to the efficient movement of patients and equipment to meet the expectations of patient throughput.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school is required.

• Duties require good interpersonal skills.

• One to three months experience.

• CPR certification to be completed during Orientation period.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $15.77 - USD $22.29 /Hr.

Rotation Schedule Requirement

every other weekend and holiday
