Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Courier at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. The role involves driving to deliver and pick up supplies and specimens within the Southcoast Hospitals Group, with a day shift (8:00am–4:30pm) and travel about 3+ times per week.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and strong customer service skills. Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 is required or an approved exemption.

Qualifications

• Completion of four years of high school or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Vehicle Operators License and a safe driving record.
• Obedience to rules of the road while operating hospital vehicles.
• Must be able to use a Southcoast Health vehicle or own vehicle to perform duties.
• Must have good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of Courier Services for timely deliveries and pickups within Southcoast Hospitals Group.
• Pickup/deliver supplies and specimens as needed; follow traffic rules.
• Provide dependable transportation and friendly service to support hospital operations.

Hours:40hrs

Shift:Day shift with minor holiday rotation; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Team Leader, Courier Services or Designee, perform a variety of duties both within and in support of the organization’s Courier Service involving prompt and dependable transportation for deliveries, pickups, errands, etc. within the Southcoast Hospitals Group area. Pick-up and deliver supplies and specimens as needed. Must obey rules of the road whiling drive.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school. Duties require the use of cell phones, pagers and related equipment in carrying out own position responsibilities.

• Require a valid Vehicle Operators License and safe driving record in order to perform Courier Service duties.

• Require obeying the rules of the road including driving with caution and courtesy in the operation of hospital vehicles.

• Require use of Southcoast or on occasion own personal vehicle in carrying out own position responsibilities. Minimum of three months experience.

• Duties require good customer service skills.

• Valid Vehicle Operators License required.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $15.94 - USD $22.44 /Hr.
