University of Illinois Chicago Department of Surgery seeks a full-time surgeon (Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level) to provide the full breadth of Transplant Surgery services in Chicago, IL. The position combines patient care, teaching, and clinical research within a major urban academic medical center.

Candidates must have an MD degree or foreign equivalent, complete surgical residency training, and hold or be eligible for Board Certification in Surgery.

Qualifications

• MD or foreign medical degree required.
• Training in a Surgical Residency Program.
• Board Certification in Surgery or eligibility for certification.
• ASTS Certification or eligibility.
• Illinois medical license or eligibility to obtain license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care in Transplant Surgery.
• Assist with teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
• Participate in clinical research.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects.
