University of Illinois Chicago seeks a full-time transplant surgeon (Assistant/Associate Professor level) to provide comprehensive transplant services. The role includes patient care, teaching, and clinical research in a major urban academic setting.

The position requires expertise in robotic surgery, board certification, and eligibility for Illinois medical licensure. This on-site role is based in Chicago and reports to the Surgery department.

Qualifications

  • MD degree or foreign equivalent required.
  • Surgical residency training completed.
  • Board certification in surgery or eligible for certification.
  • ASTS certification.
  • Illinois medical license or eligibility.
  • Expertise in robotic surgery for transplantation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care in Transplant Surgery.
  • Assist with teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
  • Participate in clinical research.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Summary

The University of Illinois atChicago Department of Surgery seeks a full-time surgeon (Assistant Professoror Associate Professor the most, junior, or intermediate level) to providethe full breadth of Transplant Surgery services.

The Faculty/PhysicianSurgeon will function as a Transplant Surgeon. This position will beresponsible for providing patient care and clinical activities in the area ofTransplant Surgery.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care and treatment in the area of Transplant Surgery.
  • Assist with teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
  • Participate in clinical research.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • M.D. Degree or a foreign equivalent
  • Training in a Surgical Residency Program
  • Board Certification in Surgery or eligibility for certification
  • ASTS Certified
  • Illinois medical license, eligibility to obtain this license
  • Expertise in robotic surgery as applied to the field of Transplantation
