Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana is seeking a Clinical Transplant Coordinator to oversee organ transplant staff and coordinate patient care through pre- and post-transplant stages. You will hire, counsel, evaluate and schedule personnel, and help implement transplant and administrative policies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing, 3 years of related experience, and an active RN license with BLS. ABTC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-transplant clinical activities to assess and prepare patients for procedures.
• Performs rounds, direct patient care, and lab/test data reviews and interpretations.
• Performs post-transplant clinical activities to ensure appropriate aftercare.
• Educates patients and colleagues on transplant procedures.
• Acts as a consultant and resource for transplant team members, nursing staff, students, and residents.
• Participates in activities for professional growth.
• Supervises, trains and develops department staff.
• Adapts communication to the patient population and respects privacy.
