Job summary

Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the hepatology care team as a coordinator. You will perform liver-related assessments and coordinate care for patients within hepatology and abdominal transplant programs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Required Louisiana LPN licensure, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification. GI experience and IV therapy credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience handling confidential information in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Nursing Process to deliver patient care and document appropriately.
• Provide direct care including IV therapy per scope and under RN guidance.
• Coordinate care for hepatology and abdominal transplant patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients and care teams to ensure quality patient experience.
