RWJBarnabas Health's Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ, is seeking a Procurement Transplant Coordinator, RN. This 37.5-hour day shift role focuses on evaluating deceased donor offers, waitlist review, patient selection, and donor-recipient matching within the Organ Transplants department.

The position requires an active NJ RN license and a current BLS; a Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. CPTC/CCTC certifications are favorable, and EPIC EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) or CPTC preferred
• Comfortable with EMR systems (EPIC)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the transplant event process, including patient admission setup and clinical team notifications.
• Review organ offers, donor history, and laboratory data to support transplant decisions.
• Communicate with OPOs, transplant physicians, and OR staff to facilitate timely organ procurement.
• Complete documentation and transplant team communications for crossmatches and compatibility reports.
• Conduct nursing assessments to determine candidate readiness and manage follow-up communication with patients.
