Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• RN license issued by the State of California.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain within six months.
• Two years of recent organ procurement/recovery experience.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrate empathy and kindness.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate on-site potential organ and tissue donors.
• Guide families through the decision to donate the organs of recently deceased loved ones.
• Manage donor patient care to assure organ viability.
• Locate recipients for transplantable organs.
• Assist in organ recovery.
• Liaise with area hospitals, ICU staff, and physicians to develop relationships and educational programs.
