The Montefiore-Einstein Center for Transplantation seeks an academically oriented full-time Transplant Nephrologist at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine. The ideal candidate should have completed a formal ASN/AST Accredited Transplant Nephrology Fellowship and possess Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Montefiore Medical Center, a large academic tertiary care hospital in New York, boasts robust adult and pediatric kidney, pancreas, liver, heart, and lung transplant programs. The kidney transplant program was established in 1967, performing approximately 200-230 kidney transplants and 25-30 pancreas transplants annually.
The Transplant Nephrologist will be responsible for the care of kidney and pancreas transplant recipients at all phases (pre- and post-transplant), medical assessment of living donors, consultation for non-renal solid organ transplant candidates and recipients (liver, heart, lung), assistance in building outreach aspects of the nephrology transplant program, supervision of renal and transplant Nephrology fellows, and participation in clinical and translational research.
Compensation includes a competitive salary of $225,000-$240,000, productivity incentives, LTD, STD, paid malpractice insurance, health, dental, vision coverage, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
