Job Description:
The Division of Nephrology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine is recruiting a Nephrologist to join our faculty. Responsibilities will include providing inpatient and outpatient care for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease and teaching medical students, residents, and Nephrology Fellows. Candidates with experience in research and/or strong interest in participating in research are preferred. Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Nephrology.
The Einstein-Montefiore Division of Nephrology has a distinguished history of innovation in research, clinical care, and education, and is one of the nations’ leading academic Nephrology divisions. The Division faculty are a vibrant, supportive, and rapidly growing group, currently consisting of over 30 full-time members with expertise in clinical nephrology, medical education, and basic and clinical research. Our faculty are proud to serve our community and benefit from the Bronx’s extraordinary cultural heritage and resources.
The Division provides clinical care for patients with a broad array of kidney disorders and our faculty are engaged in research to develop innovative strategies for the treatment and prevention of kidney diseases. Our faculty also provides care for a large population of patients with end stage kidney disease, and we are home to one of the region’s largest and most successful kidney transplant programs.Divisional faculty are actively engaged in a wide array of funded research programs spanning basic and translational research into the pathogenesis of kidney diseases, epidemiology, and clinical trials to improve the care of patients with kidney disease.
Rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and generous benefits packages are offered to all faculty.
Total guaranteed compensation for faculty positions ranges from $220,000-$280,000, with the opportunity for significantly higher income with generous productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
