Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston is seeking an experienced RN with a BSN to join the MedSurg unit for 7a-7p shifts. Candidates should have 2+ years of MedSurg experience, transplant experience preferred, and a Texas license.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, perform nursing assessments, educate patients, document care, and participate in quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred
• RN experience levels reflect progression from I to IV with increasing years of practice

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care to patients according to nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and administers clinical decisions.
• Directs and may delegate to healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes; coordinates discharge/transfer plans.
• Participates in systematic evaluation of programs, process improvement and client-centered outcomes.
• Considers diverse patient needs across the continuum of care, maintaining service standards and patient experience quality.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards and Memorial Hermann policies.
