Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a physician specialized in Infectious Disease and Transplant ID to support the expansion of its transplant services. The role blends clinical, teaching and research activities within a dynamic academic environment.

The ideal candidate holds an MD/DO with board certification/eligibility in Infectious Disease and Transplant ID, and brings at least 3 years of transplant ID practice. Arizona licensure eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certified or eligible in Infectious Disease and Transplant Infectious Disease.
• At least 3 years of Transplant ID practice experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Participate in growing transplant ID program as directed by the Transplant ID Medical Director.
• Assist with inpatient consultations and outpatient encounters of transplant patients.
• Assist in patient selection for transplant in committee meetings.
• Help create protocols for standardizing care of transplant patients.
• Establish quality improvement projects in transplant ID with the DOM quality committee.
• Create a research agenda for transplant ID.
• Design clinical research studies focusing on immunocompromised patients.
• Educate students, residents and the upcoming first fellows in transplant ID annually.
• No research funding required.
